Kira Santiago is a farmer-florist -- the owner, farmer, and designer at Kira's Flowers, an organic flower farm and floral design studio near the bluffs overlooking the Illinois River in East Peoria. There, on an old Civil War era farmstead, she grows over 75 varieties of flowers and creates designer bouquets for weddings and other special occasions, as well as for her CSA and farmers market customers.
Kira's background in art and graphic design is evident in every stunning bouquet, boutonniere, and wearable flower art design she creates.
Kira farms using organic practices because such methods benefit the soil, air, water, and every living thing. This means you can touch, smell, and even taste the flowers in Kira's floral creations without worrying about the harmful chemicals often used in growing, fumigating, and transporting conventional flowers. Together we are doing something beautiful for people and the planet!
